The WorldOpt Institute is founded to develop and improve the process of world optimization (including optimal human and environmental resource allocation) by:
(a) developing agreement and consensus on education and values appropriate to environmental and social sustainability;
(b) developing predictive models for sustainability; and
(c) encouraging the adoption and improvement of “best practices” and other actions to optimize our continued existence on our planet.
The Institute exists to gather convincing evidence that a comprehensive, science-based analysis of our worldwide problems is possible and would be productive, and to further the conversations and commitments necessary to chart and promote a global optimization process.
Sustainability cannot be attained by waiting for education and consensus to do everything. It is necessary right now to fight the good fight to save species and habitats that are currently threatened. Therefore, WorldOpt.org is dedicated to creating projects that preserve and protect ocean, land, and atmospheric habitats, and their rich multiplicity of species. We sponsor special projects attempting to preserve tigers, dolphins, whales, and other species. The preservation of these animals is an important piece of the future of the health and ecosystem of the planet. WorldOpt.org is helping others understand the importance of these species by creating websites, films and media to tell the story of these animals and connecting the cause with a mission through world-class photos, video, and art.
