BLUE is a provocative journey into the ocean realm, witnessing this critical moment in time when the marine world is on a precipice.

In celebration of World Ocean Day, held annually on June 8th, the WorldOpt Institute team organized, coordinated, and promoted screenings of BLUE the Film worldwide.

BLUE is the story our generation need to hear. The industrialization that has occurred in the oceans over the last century, mirrors the events that triggered mass extinctions on land. Industrial scale fishing, habitat destruction, species loss and pollution have placed the ocean in peril. The very nature of the sea is being irretrievably altered. BLUE is a provocative journey into the ocean realm, witnessing this critical moment in time when the marine world is on a precipice.

Our ocean has been the guardian of life on earth.

Now it is our turn to be guardians for the ocean.

WorldOpt Institute and BLUE: A Global Call to Protect Our Oceans.  In celebration of World Ocean Day, held annually on June 8th, the WorldOpt Institute team organized, coordinated, and promoted screenings of BLUE the Film worldwide.

With over 7,000 screenings across the globe, BLUE sparked a movement, inspiring tens of thousands of people to take action against ocean pollution, plastic waste, and the exploitation of marine ecosystems.

BLUE tells the urgent story our generation needs to hear. It captures the breathtaking beauty and intelligence of ocean life, set against the stark reality of industrial fishing, habitat destruction, species extinction, and pollution. The film serves as a powerful wake-up call, reminding us that the ocean stands at a critical tipping point.

As a direct result of our WorldOpt Institute team helping to promote BLUE for World Ocean Day taking place on June 8th of every year, 7000 screenings of the film became a happening around the world activating tens of thousands of people to protect our oceans from pollution and plastic waste.
